Zingly Setup Guide (2-5 mins)

Before you log in to Zingly, complete this quick checklist so Zingly can connect to the right Facebook Page and enable posting.

Before you log in to Zingly

This guide helps you connect Zingly correctly the first time.

Step 1 is required and should be checked first before you add anything.

Setup usually takes 2 to 5 minutes.

1. Check Facebook Page Access on mobile app mandatory

Zingly needs direct Facebook Page Access before it can publish to your Facebook Page and Instagram account.

Your Page may appear during Facebook login, but posting only works when the Facebook profile you use for Zingly has Full Control under Page Access.

To check Page Access

  • Open the Facebook mobile app.
  • Switch to your business Facebook Page.
  • Click ⚙️ Settings under Settings & Privacy (gear icon).
  • Select 🔑 Page Access.
  • (If you don't see it, use the 🔍 search bar at the top of Settings and type Page Access.)
  • Under People with Facebook Access, confirm your profile is listed.
  • Make sure Full Control is enabled.

If your profile is not listed, add the Facebook profile you want to use with Zingly under Page Access and give it Full Control.

1a. Add New Admin to Facebook Page Access on mobile app mandatory

  • Click Add New under People with Facebook Access (use the mobile app, not desktop).
  • Search for a partner, staff member, or family member. (As the owner of the Business Portfolio, your name may not appear in the search when adding Page access because you already have administrative rights through the portfolio. For maximum security, Meta recommends having at least two admins assigned directly to the Page to ensure you never lose access if one account is locked out.)
  • Toggle Full control.
  • Click Give Access.
  • The person must then:
    - Switch to their personal Facebook profile
    - MANDATORY: Check whether 2FA is enabled in the Facebook mobile app (go to Settings & Privacy, search for 2FA, and turn it on if it is off)
    - Accept the invite via Facebook notifications (mobile or desktop) or via email.

Critical: The connection will not be successful until the new person clicks 'Accept Invite' strictly within their Facebook mobile app notifications. Do NOT use a desktop computer or log into the Meta Business Suite / Business Portfolio to accept this invite, as doing so will block the connection.

2. Instagram setup — optional (if not already linked)

You can connect Instagram now or come back later.

Zingly can post to Facebook first. Instagram posting only works when your Instagram account is a professional account and connected to your Facebook Page.

Set up an Instagram Business account

If your Instagram account is not already a Business or Creator account, follow Instagram's guide:

Set up an Instagram Business account

Connect Instagram to your Facebook Page

To allow Zingly to post to Instagram, your Instagram professional account must be connected to the correct Facebook Page.

Add or change the Facebook Page connected to Instagram

Note: You can skip Instagram setup during your first Zingly login. If you connect Instagram later, log out of Zingly and log back in with Facebook so Zingly can refresh your access.

3. Log in to Zingly

Once Facebook Page Access is ready, log in to Zingly using the Facebook profile that has Full Control of your business Page.

  • Go to app.zingly.com.au.
  • Click Continue with Facebook.
  • Log in with the Facebook profile that has Full Control under Page Access.
  • If you do not see the new Facebook profile during login, go to facebook.com in your browser, log out of the existing Facebook user, then log in with the new profile first.

4. Select the correct Facebook Page and Instagram account

During Facebook login, Meta may ask which Pages and Instagram accounts you want to allow Zingly to access.

This step is important.

  • Click Edit Settings when Facebook shows the permissions screen.
  • Select the correct Instagram account if you want Instagram posting.
  • Select the correct Facebook Page.
  • Continue to the permissions screen.
  • Tap Allow all or make sure all requested permissions are enabled.
  • Complete login.

Important: Make sure you select the Facebook Page and Instagram account for the same business.

If you do not see the right Instagram account

You can still continue with Facebook posting. Instagram can be connected later.

To enable Instagram posting later:

  • Convert your Instagram account to a Business or Creator account.
  • Link it to your Facebook Page.
  • Log out of Zingly.
  • Log back in with Facebook.
  • Click Edit Settings.
  • Select the Instagram account and Facebook Page.
  • Allow all requested permissions.

If you selected the wrong Page or Instagram account

Log out of Zingly and log back in with Facebook.

During login:

  • Click Edit Settings.
  • Re-select the correct Facebook Page.
  • Re-select the correct Instagram account.
  • Allow all requested permissions.

This refreshes your Zingly connection.

Final setup check

Before you continue, make sure:

  • Your Facebook profile has Full Control under Page Access.
  • You logged in using that same Facebook profile.
  • You selected the correct Facebook Page during login.
  • You selected the correct Instagram account if you want Instagram posting.
  • You allowed all requested permissions.

Once this is complete, Zingly can enable posting for your account.
