Zingly ('we', 'us', or 'our') is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose your personal information when you use our services via our website at https://zingly.com.au or our application at https://app.zingly.com.au.

By using Zingly, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. What Information We Collect

  • First name
  • Email address
  • Business name (optional)
  • Business location (optional)
  • Usage data and analytics (e.g., interaction with posts and features)
  • Integration Data: When you connect third-party platforms like Fergus & ServiceM8, we collect specific data required via authorized APIs to automate your brand visibility, including Job descriptions, job location (suburb & state), Company ID, and Job photos.

2. How We Collect It

Social login and platform authorization (e.g. Facebook Login for Business and Google OAuth)

Third-Party APIs:
We retrieve data only after you explicitly authorize access to your connected business platforms. This includes:

  • ServiceM8 via secure OAuth
  • Fergus via Personal Access Token (PAT)
  • Google Business Profile via Google OAuth
  • Meta (Facebook & Instagram) via Facebook Login for Business

All access tokens are securely encrypted and stored to enable the services you choose to use.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • 3.1 Provide access to the Zingly platform
  • 3.2 Enable AI-powered content creation and post scheduling
  • 3.3 Data pulled from your job management software is used internally to generate content suggestions. No personal information, customer data, or photographic assets ingested from your integrations will be shared with Meta or published publicly until you explicitly review and approve the draft within the Zingly platform.
  • 3.4 Interact with third-party platforms such as Facebook and Instagram on your behalf
  • 3.5 Respond to user inquiries and provide customer support
  • 3.6 Improve our product through analytics and usage feedback
  • 3.7 Send product updates, offers, and newsletters (you can opt out at any time)
  • 3.8 If you choose to connect your Google Business Profile, Zingly uses the Google Business Profile API solely to publish approved content to your selected Business Profile on your behalf. Zingly does not access or use Google Business Profile data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to providing the requested publishing functionality.

4. Third-Party Services

Zingly uses third-party platforms to operate effectively, including:

  • Google Firebase (Melbourne) – for secure data hosting and storage
  • Google Business Profile – If you choose to connect your Google Business Profile, we use Google's Business Profile APIs to publish content that you have reviewed and approved within Zingly. We access only the permissions required to provide this functionality.
  • Meta Platforms (Facebook & Instagram) – to post or schedule content on your behalf
  • ServiceM8: We use this service to retrieve Job descriptions, job location (suburb & state), Company ID, and Job photos to generate social media content.
  • Fergus: We use this service to retrieve Job descriptions, job location (suburb & state), and Job photos to generate social media content.

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4a. Data Minimization & Third-Party Integrations

Zingly adheres to a "Bare Minimum" data policy for third-party integrations. We only collect and store the minimal data required to generate social media content:

  • Job descriptions: To create relevant captions and content
  • Job location (suburb & state): To add location context to posts
  • Job photos: To include visual content in social media posts
  • Customer Consent: Users of Zingly remain in control of what photos are used for posting either using Zingly or third party automation. As with any social media activity, it's the users responsibility to ensure they have permission with their customers to share images on social media.
  • Retention: Bare minimum data as above is stored to create posts only as long as necessary to fulfill the posting schedule

4b. Google Business Profile

If you choose to connect your Google Business Profile to Zingly:

  • We request access only after your explicit authorization using Google's OAuth consent process.
  • We use Google Business Profile APIs solely to publish content that you have reviewed and approved within the Zingly platform or, where you have explicitly enabled automatic publishing, to publish content in accordance with your configured automation settings.
  • We access and retain only the minimum information required to establish, maintain, and operate your Google Business Profile connection and provide the functionality you have requested.
  • We do not use Google Business Profile data for advertising, profiling, marketing, resale, or any purpose unrelated to providing the requested functionality.
  • We do not transfer, sell, or disclose Google user data to third parties except where necessary to provide the requested service, comply with applicable law, or protect the security and integrity of our services.
  • You may disconnect your Google Business Profile at any time from your Zingly account settings. Once disconnected, Zingly will no longer be able to publish content to your Google Business Profile on your behalf.
  • OAuth access and refresh tokens used to connect Google Business Profile are securely encrypted at rest and stored only for as long as necessary to provide the connected services.
  • Zingly's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Data Security

We take data security seriously and implement safeguards, including:

  • Encrypted transmission of data
  • Role-based access control
  • Use of secure storage via Google Firebase

OAuth access tokens for connected third-party platforms (including Google Business Profile, Meta, and ServiceM8) are encrypted at rest and protected using industry standard security controls.

Despite our best efforts, no system can be completely secure. We recommend keeping your credentials confidential and using a strong password.

6. Your Rights and Choices

  • Access or correct your personal information by logging into your account
  • Request deletion of your data by contacting us at admin@zingly.com.au
  • Opt out of marketing emails via the unsubscribe link in each email

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as required to deliver services. Upon deletion of your account, associated data will be securely deleted within a reasonable period unless retention is required by law.

If you disconnect a third-party integration such as Google Business Profile, Zingly immediately stops accessing that service. Any retained integration information is limited to what is necessary to support your account or comply with legal obligations.

8. Children's Privacy

Zingly is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

9. Use Restrictions on AI-Generated Content

Zingly is committed to ensuring that its AI-powered features are used responsibly. Users are strictly prohibited from using the platform to generate, request, or disseminate any content—visual or textual—that is:

  • Sexually abusive, exploitative, or explicit
  • Harassing, hateful, or discriminatory
  • Violent or threatening
  • Illegal under applicable Australian or international law

We may monitor, restrict, or suspend accounts that engage in such misuse, and we reserve the right to retain minimal usage metadata (not AI outputs) as necessary to investigate abuse, in compliance with Australian privacy and cybersecurity laws.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date."
