Why Set up Zingly with ServiceM8

Zingly automatically turns completed ServiceM8 jobs into Facebook and Instagram posts, then publishes them in seconds - helping tradies stay visible without extra admin.

Before you connect ServiceM8

Before connecting ServiceM8, make sure.

  • You are an admin/owner of the correct Meta Business Portfolio
  • Your Facebook Page is connected to your Instagram Business account
  • You log into Zingly using the same Facebook profile that manages the business assets

During Login, Meta will ask you to:

  • Select your Business Portfolio
  • Select the Facebook Page you want Zingly to post to
  • Select the connected Instagram Business account

Important:

If the wrong Business Portfolio, Facebook Page, or Instagram account is selected during login, Zingly will not be able to publish correctly.

You can update or reconnect your accounts anytime by logging out and re-login to Zingly.

Step 1 - Open ServiceM8 setup in Zingly

In Zingly, go to:

Menu -> My Account -> Connect with ServiceM8

ServiceM8 integration is available on the Zing Up plan.

If you are not already on a paid plan, upgrade to Zing Up first.

After upgrading, open the ServiceM8 setup screen again and choose your automated post settings, including:

  • shorter caption on/off
  • emojis on/off
  • review before posting
  • post expiry window for items waiting in review

Then click Connect ServiceM8.

Step 2 - Connect ServiceM8 in Zingly

Click Continue to ServiceM8 on the popup

Use your admin login details on ServiceM8 app to log in

Click Proceed on next screen

Click Allow on the next screen

Important:

Sometimes, if your ServiceM8 session has expired or two-factor authentication is required, after logging in you may be redirected to the ServiceM8 dashboard instead of back to Zingly.

If this happens:

  • Simply close the ServiceM8 tab
  • Return to Zingly
  • Click Connect ServiceM8 again

That's it - your ServiceM8 connection is now ready. Once connected, Zingly can start preparing posts from ServiceM8 jobs marked for Zingly.

Step 3 - Tag ServiceM8 jobs for Zingly

To send a job from ServiceM8 to Zingly, you need to tag the photos you want to post.

Step 1 - Create the Tag (First Time Only)

Create a photo tag in ServiceM8 called:

Zingly

This only needs to be created once. After that, you can reuse it for future jobs.

Step 2 - Tag the Photos

Open the job you want to post in ServiceM8 and:

  • Select the photos you want to post
  • Apply the Zingly tag to those photos
  • Change the job status to Complete d to trigger posting via Zingly

Only tagged photos will be sent to Zingly.

Zingly can prepare the post for review or publishing based on your settings.

Privacy protection

Zingly automatically removes private details from job information before creating social content.

This includes customer names, phone numbers, email addresses, exact addresses, access codes, invoice details and private customer notes.

Zingly uses the ServiceM8 job address for location context, but it is designed to avoid publishing exact private address details in the social post.

For better posts, keep job descriptions focused on:

  • the work completed
  • the job outcome
  • customer-safe details
